We made it!

10 days ago we woke up to our last full day in West Virginia.

The sunrise was perfect. The frosty air fogged up the windows. We bustled around on last minute errands and packed our Jeep to the gills.

Then we were off! Six days of driving, seeing friends and family, and packing and repacking those last little items.
And this morning: waking up in Sumqayıt, with a faint view of the Caspian Sea under cloudy skies.It feels wild and normal to be back. The last sunrise I saw in Azerbaijan was through the window of a plane, and the one before that I didn’t even know we were leaving yet. Now we’re here as a family of three, with beautiful and wonderful adventures ahead.
Thanks to everyone who prayed for our travels! They went as well as they possibly could. We’ll have a vlog up about them in the next couple of weeks.
